Spring Equinox 2025

Embrace your inner child, and step into the light!

Join us on Sunday, March 23, 2025, for our in-person Spring Equinox ritual. The equinox is a time to embrace our inner child and the beauty of creation. To step out of the nurturing darkness and enact our dreams.

 Date: Sunday, March 23, 2025
Location: Jeff’s Home in McKinney (address to be shared week of to those who confirm their RSVP)
 Time: 3 PM
Suggested Donation: $15 (no one turned away for lack of funds)

What to Bring:
A dish to share for the potluck following the ritual.
A cup to drink from (paper available if you forget!)
Dress appropriately for an outdoor event. Blankets, cushions or folding chairs are encouraged for comfort.

Spring Equinox is a time to take those first few wobbly steps to the change you dreamed up at Yule, nurtured in the darkness, and began to hope for at Imbolc

We look forward to celebrating the spring as a community!

about  the Spring Equinox

This sabbat is commonly known in many Neo-Pagan circles as Ostara.

A quick summary about Ostara-

Ostara was a fairly obscure Germanic diety who gained modern popularity after Aiden Kelly named the Spring Equinox after her.

So, how did the Spring equinox get named after Ostara?  A prominent member of the Pagan community, Aiden Kelly was writing a book on religious holidays and calendars.  He was inspired to craft a similar resource just for Pagans, which was shared in Green Egg in the 1970s.

What are some other Religious holidays celebrated this time of year?
